I created this music reactive LED wall with only a few components.
If you want to build one your own, here’s how I made it:

Build:
Cut 6 * 8 matrix of 5mm diameter holes in the back of the plywood frame
Push LEDs in far enough and secure them with a bit of hot glue from the back
Cut a hole in every Ping Pong ball using a cutter knife, then glue the balls over the LEDs adding a little bit of hot glue to the edges of the balls
Wire the LED Strip and a 5V power supply – you can use an old smartphone charger – to the controller
voila!
